Description: A must-have novelty wildflower for the gardening enthusiast. The basal rosette of leaves remains virtually hidden until summer when a long flowering stem arises form the basal rosette. A single, dark purple flower is borne at the tip of the stem. The petalless flower is round and squattish. The long leafless stem and lack of petals potentially make it a good cut flower. Performs best in slightly moist to moist soil. Plant en masse for impact.
