Plant Description

Description: Numerous attractive, tubular, white flowers are borne on erect stems rising above mostly basal grayish-green leaves. Attractive to butterflies. Drought tolerant once established in well-drained soils.

Lifespan: Perennial; occasionally a short-lived perennial

Light exposure: Full sun to high pine shade

Bloom color: White

Bloom season: Mid-spring to early fall

Height (in bloom): 1 1/2 to 3 feet

Habitat: Dry sandhills, pinelands and disturbed areas
